Do Ho Su

Do Ho visited me at the studio before beginning work on this small lithograph.

He drew on True grain film for each individual colour separation using a litho crayon. True grain is a popular choice for artists which allows great flexibility, creative freedom and convenience because it can be portable and drawn on anywhere and easily edited and reworked . The plates were printed in registration to create the overlapping, cuddling figure motif and the sequential images show each colour as they build towards the finished print.

Quite a large edition (for hand printing!) which was sold in support of Hospital Rooms 2024 fundraising auction.
