Oona Grimes

These delicate lithographs were the product of Oona’s recent re-engagement with Lithography. We tried various ways to achieve the soft drawn qualities of her original artwork including true grain film before we finally arrived at a novel solution of scanning her separate, drawn elements which were made into photo litho spot colour plates. This method allowed us greater control to retain the delicacy and sensitivity that are an essential part of Oona’s original drawings.

After colour proofing and adjusting the multiple layers where necessary, both editions were printed on Fabriano Tiepolo paper and shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2025.
