Jadé Fadojutimi

Renowned for her large and very beautiful abstract paintings, Jadé is an exciting artist to collaborate with because she has a responsive and dynamic affinity for colour that she combines with her expressively calligraphic mark-making.

Although relatively new to and inexperienced in the litho medium, she used the material capabilities of toner washes and traditional litho drawing materials to great effect. Thelayer building and evolution of each print was created by intuiting the effect of the next plate and the possibilities of translucent and opaque ink films, and with minimal colour proofing.

Both prints were commissioned by the Hepworth Museum in Wakefield
